Understanding Your Birth Chart

A birth chart maps the tropical zodiac at your birthplace and birth time. The Sun, Moon, and planets describe different astrological themes; houses organize those themes by area of life. Exact birth time matters especially for the Rising sign and house cusps.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t know my birth time?

Choose the unknown-time option. We check each placement across your local birth date, list possible signs when needed, and omit houses and angles. The wheel uses a clearly labeled noon reference.

Which house system should I use?

Placidus is the default. Whole Sign and Equal are available in Advanced settings. At polar latitudes, Placidus may be undefined; choose another system explicitly if that happens.

Calculation Method and Limitations

All tools share local Swiss Ephemeris calculations, tropical zodiac, and historical IANA time-zone conversion. Unknown times limit the precision of degrees, houses, angles, and aspects. Read the full method and limitations or review Source & License.
