Understanding Your Lunar Nodes
The lunar nodes are the intersections of the Moon’s orbital plane and the ecliptic. In astrology, the North Node is often read as a direction of growth and the South Node as familiar patterns. They form one axis, with the South Node exactly 180 degrees from the North Node.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between True and Mean Node?
True Node uses the instantaneous lunar orbit, including its oscillation. Mean Node smooths short-term variation. True is the default here; select Mean in Advanced settings to match another report.
Why are both nodes shown?
The nodes describe opposite ends of the same axis. Comparing them makes the interpretation more balanced and lets you verify their exact opposition.
Calculation Method and Limitations
All tools share local Swiss Ephemeris calculations, tropical zodiac, and historical IANA time-zone conversion. Unknown times limit the precision of degrees, houses, angles, and aspects. Read the full method and limitations or review Source & License.
